UNIT 5 - DESCRIBING A JOB


UNIT 4 - Going to - will

—   The unit 4 learned about the future forms (will & going to). And I understand that “will”  is used in situations that I don’t think and will happen in the moment and “going to” is used when I am planning to make anything.
I practice the “going to” and “will” use and it is the result:

Incorrect answer:
1) Philipp is going to be 15 next Wednesday. (to be)

-  Because  is a prediction.

   —In the unit 3, the teacher taught about past forms, compound adjectives, participles and gerunds. I liked this class, but I think the most difficult item for me is the past forms, by this reason I going to practice in this history:

      In the practice about comparisons, I can understand that word or phrases have different navel of difference, in the next graphic, you can recognize which is most difference than other…

Some examples with comparisons are:
It’s so much fun to visit than La Sabana National Park . the Parque de Diversiones
My grandfather's shoes are considerably bigger than my little brother's shoes but my shoes are a little bit bigger than my brother's shoes. I think my shoes are the same size as my grandpa's shoes.

Unit 1: Reflection “Vocabulary and Idioms”

In this unit I learned different vocabulary and idioms; the idioms are phrases that the meaning is different to the words used. I will explain someone examples viewed in the class:

Head straight for the top:
It´s when you are in the top (very high) in a situation o position. For example: I am head straight for the top in the company.

Pursue a dream:
It is when you think in an idea and you rush off my feet by your idea.



Believe in:
It is to think that you can win/go. Example: we believe in the married forever.


An ultimate ambition:
It is same to the vision.  As: My sister´s ultimate ambition is open a success restaurant.

Unit 2 - Gerunds and infinitive


GABY´S HISTORY

In this In this history I will use gerunds and infinitive conjugations


Gaby is my friend, now She is living in my house. She want to be nurse but nowadays she is studing bussiness administration.
Gaby is from Turrialba, of a little town call San Gerardo, it is far far away...
Went Gaby was child she enjoy travel to her aunt´farm, because she can played with horses and pigs. In my house there are dogs and cats, that are animals also.

UNIT 4 - Active and Passive Practice


Passive and Active have a very hard grammatical rules, I think, buy this reason, Today I will make  a lot practice for comprehend better.

In this test you completed 5 tasks out of12 correctly. - That's 42%.

Practicing the Past Perfect

Sharing experience:
Share some things you´ve never done before this English IV course using the past perfect.
 
  • I had never played in the computer.
  • I had never gone in front the class to make a activity.
  • I had never reminded a paragraph and to say the partners for they write it.
  • I had never felt accommodative in the english class.
  • I had never practiced english all days in the week.
  • I had never made a lot homework.
  • I had never evaluated a partner.




Practicing the Future Perfect


What will the world be like in 100 years? What will have happened by then?
Write about the changes you think will have happened in 100 years.


The world will have lacked of water and other natural resources. By this reason, the water will have costed expensive. Also the  people will not have seen the sun because the air will have contaminated, the people will have used a respirator. I think the tecnology will have more advanced than our days. It´s possible the transportation will have moved by air and the people don´t need to cook food because the food was have been plastic or little food tablets with all nutrients.

Unit 1: Reflection "Prepositions"

The First week the teacher was talking about prepositions. She want that we was writing a 2 paragraph using prepositions, and it is mine:

On Saturday, 2 years ago, at morning, I will go to Carpio to help with a foundation that help kids in this community. I remember, the first time when I went to Carpio. I went on bus and I felt nervious. La Carpio is a marginal area that change my life.

I can seen a smile in the kids face with hungry, and to be grateful for a food dish and to share this food (only at day) with me. Also I can seen a beautiful dusk with smell to garbage, due to dump at last station. I can seen a guys with hope and want to love.

What are my expectations about this course?

My expectations about this course are very high, but not for the teacher, but yes for me. Becouse I need to improve my english. Actually I want learn many vocabulary, and differents gramatic structures and apply them.
